School boards govern district policy, budgets, superintendent oversight, facilities and matters assigned by law. They do not control every state or federal education rule. Candidate promises should identify board authority, costs, student outcomes, implementation dates, public reporting and the effect on staff and families.
Some voters will also see a school-district bond or levy question. Candidate contests and ballot questions are separate decisions and should be presented separately.
No score or endorsement is assigned. Use the personalized ballot for the exact district and seat; portraits, finance, meeting records and candidate answers remain a later layer.
