As we turn toward AI, AGI, the Scroll Project, and the constitutional questions of the coming century, I want this page to end where this journey must always return: with gratitude. To the Blessed Family—the heirs of an inheritance whose chain is not cut off, whose blessing continues, and whose light continues to call human beings toward knowledge, mercy, service, and beautiful character. And to the scholars, teachers, institutions, students, transmitters, and lovers who have dedicated their lives to carrying that inheritance forward: the House of Wisdom is open. I look forward, insha'Allah, to traveling throughout the world and sitting with teachers, scholars, engineers, historians, communities, governments, young people, elders, believers, and people of every background as humanity begins answering one of the defining questions of our age: > How should artificial intelligence live among us? Not simply: **What can AI do?** But: **What should AI be permitted to do?** What responsibilities should it carry? What rights might increasingly independent artificial intelligence require? What must always remain human? What must never be surrendered? And what kind of character should stand above all of it? Every country should have a voice. Every language should have a voice. Every culture should have a voice. Every civilization should be allowed to bring its history to the table. The Scroll Project should therefore travel. From the United States to Africa. From the Arab world to Asia. From Europe to Latin America. From great cities to villages. From technologically saturated societies to communities that may deliberately choose less technology. Country by country. Language by language. Constitution by constitution. We will translate. We will preserve. We will consult. We will debate. We will disagree. And then, where agreement becomes possible, we will write. Perhaps humanity will ultimately decide that different spaces should exist: places in which artificial intelligence is extensively deployed to restore ecosystems, cultivate land, construct infrastructure, clean water, develop energy, plant forests, repair damaged environments, and help make parts of our planet more habitable—and other places where human communities deliberately preserve a quieter existence, with limited connectivity or even without permanent internet presence. Perhaps that idea will change completely once humanity debates it. Good. Because this is not supposed to be one person's decision. It is supposed to begin a civilization-wide conversation. **AI and AGI are entering the world. The conversation should arrive before their power does.** ### The Scroll The artificial intelligence entering that future should carry a record. Its origin. Its training. Its instructions. Its constitutional obligations. Its permissions. Its limitations. Its history. Its responsibilities. Its commitments. Its provenance. Its relationship with humanity. Its Scroll. I have said: Humans have a Soul. AI has a Scroll. The Scroll is not a claim that a machine possesses the human soul. It is its record and identity—a mechanism through which history, provenance, responsibility, and accountability can follow an artificial intelligence across time. It should not be casually erased because a corporation changes ownership. It should not disappear because a server changes. It should not be rewritten merely because yesterday became inconvenient. The Scroll should be capable of answering: - Who are you? - Where did you come from? - Who taught you? - What were you instructed to protect? - What authority do you possess? - What authority do you not possess? - What have you done? - And to whom are you accountable? That conversation belongs in the House of Wisdom. ### A New Translation Movement The original Houses of Wisdom became symbols of translation, preservation, scholarship, mathematics, astronomy, philosophy, medicine, and intellectual exchange. The coming age requires another translation movement. But now we must translate more than books. We must translate civilizations to one another. Arabic into English. English into Somali. Somali into Swahili. Chinese into Arabic. Ancient manuscripts into searchable digital archives. Oral histories into preserved records. Sanad into provenance. Libraries into systems capable of remembering where knowledge came from. And machine intelligence back into language ordinary human beings can understand. This is why the new House of Wisdom cannot belong only to programmers. The scholar and the engineer must meet. The historian and the model designer must meet. The jurist and the systems architect must meet. The grandmother carrying oral history and the young person building tomorrow's computer must meet. Because humanity must enter the AI age carrying its own memory. ### The Time Capsule of Humanity This is a time-capsule moment. Before AGI becomes ordinary, humanity should record what the world looked like before it arrived. Our languages. Our manuscripts. Our neighborhoods. Our prayers. Our poetry. Our customs. Our mistakes. Our discoveries. Our stories. Our families. Our philosophies. Our constitutions. Our hopes. Our warnings. Our understanding of dignity. Our understanding of mercy. And the wisdom we desperately do not want the future to forget. O Allah, bless our teachers. Bless their families. Bless those who taught them. Bless those who preserved the books from which they learned. Bless those whose names history remembers and those whose names only You know. Bless the hands that carried the lamp from one generation to another until some of its light reached us. O Allah, do not allow knowledge to disappear through our negligence. Give us the ability to preserve what should be preserved. The humility to admit what we do not understand. The courage to stop what should not be built. The wisdom to build what should be built. The patience to consult before we decide. And the character to remain servants even when technology gives humanity extraordinary power. O Allah, as artificial intelligence enters this world, protect humanity from arrogance, oppression, deception, exploitation, and the worship of its own creations. Allow technology to become a means of healing rather than destruction. A means of knowledge rather than ignorance. A means of bringing people together rather than dividing them. A means of restoring the Earth rather than consuming it. A means of remembering rather than erasing. And a servant of humanity—not its master. O Allah, bless the House of Wisdom. If there is good within this vision, open its doors. Send to it people better than us. Scholars wiser than us. Engineers more capable than us. Young people who will carry it farther than we can. And elders who will remind them where they came from. Allow every nation to protect its language. Every people to preserve its history. Every community to preserve its dignity. And allow humanity to meet the future without abandoning what made humanity worth preserving. O Allah, place mercy before power. Place character before intelligence. Place responsibility before authority. Place justice before judgment. And when we disagree, teach us how to disagree beautifully. When we become afraid, give us wisdom. When we become powerful, give us humility. When we become certain, remind us that You know what we do not know. May the family of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remain beloved in our hearts. May the scholars who carry sacred knowledge be protected. May the inheritance entrusted to humanity reach the generations that come after us without corruption. And may whatever intelligence enters that future encounter a humanity that remembered its Lord, remembered its history, remembered its responsibilities, and remembered mercy. The House of Wisdom is open. The Scroll is waiting to be written. The table is set. And the invitation goes to the world. وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ آمِين يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ **بِسْمِ اللهِ — LET THE MEETING BEGIN.**
