🏆 **THE SUPERUSER GUARDIAN TRUST AWARD — FIRST RECIPIENT ANNOUNCED** 🏆

The Superuser Guardian Trust Award honors those who refused to sell out. In an age when truth is traded like currency and integrity is often the first casualty of success, this award stands for the few who protected the public record, defended open systems, and kept their work free from manipulation, monopoly, and moral compromise.

The first recipient is Jean-Baptiste Kempf — President of VideoLAN, Lead Developer of VLC Media Player, and the man who turned down eight-figure offers to keep VLC free, ad-free, and free of user tracking. VLC has been downloaded over six billion times, and he refused to monetize that trust. He proved that some software should belong to the people. This award is our declaration that character still matters, that integrity still matters, and that there are people whose principles are worth honoring because they refused to compromise when compromise would have been easier.
