The Prophet ﷺ Is Not Cut Off

Many today are confused. They think the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was only a man who lived, who died, and who was buried like any other. They imagine his power ended when his blessed soul was taken, that his connection to the world was severed. But this is ignorance.

His companions asked him directly: “O Messenger of Allah, after you die, will our sending of prayers upon you still reach you?” And he ﷺ replied: “Yes, for Allah has appointed angels upon the earth who convey to me the prayers of my ummah.” (Hadith – Abu Dawud)

When others feared that death was an end, the Prophet ﷺ made it clear: his role, his hearing, his mercy, and his intercession do not stop.

The Living Presence of the Prophet ﷺ

He is not cut off. He is alive in his grave, nourished by Allah. The hadith is clear: “The Prophets are alive in their graves, praying.” (Hadith – Ibn Majah)

Every salawat uttered by the lips of a believer, whispered in solitude, or shouted in joy, is carried to him by angels. He hears. He responds. And on Fridays, as he himself said, he replies with his own blessed tongue.

The Qur’an testifies:
“And never think of those who are slain in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.” (Surah Āl-ʿImrān 3:169)

If martyrs live, what then of the Master of martyrs, the Beloved of Allah, the Seal of the Prophets ﷺ?

The Companions’ Cry: Yā Muḥammada!

In battle, when the companions were pressed, when the enemy was overwhelming, they did not merely shout slogans. They cried out: “Yā Muḥammada! Yā Muḥammada!” They called upon their Prophet ﷺ directly. And from the unseen, Allah sent soldiers, hosts of angels, to turn despair into victory.

This was not shirk, as the ignorant claim. This was certainty. This was love. This was the recognition that the Prophet ﷺ is the swiftest path to Allah. As Allah Himself said:
“If, when they wronged themselves, they had but come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked Allah’s forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.” (Surah An-Nisa 4:64)

This verse did not die with him. His door of intercession remains open. His mercy flows. His light guides.

The Mercy That Veils

For many of us, to see him ﷺ now would break us, for we are stained by sin. Looking upon pure light while our hearts are mixed with darkness would be unbearable. Out of mercy, he veils himself. But make no mistake: he responds in real time, he guides unseen, and he continues to lift his ummah even as we falter.

The Prophet ﷺ is not silent. He is not blind. He is not mute. He is not absent.

The Unbroken Family

And his family is not cut off. The Qur’an itself declares:
“Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.” (Surah Al-Kawthar 108:3)

Enemies are severed, not him. His bloodline, his light, his ummah continue until the Last Day. Whoever holds to his family has tied themselves to the unbreakable rope. Whoever honors them has honored him.

The Truth

So let it be known:

Glory belongs to the Prophet ﷺ and his family.

Whoever thinks he is cut off has cut themselves off.

Whoever clings to him has clung to the greatest mercy Allah has given creation.

He ﷺ is the living mirror of God’s mercy on earth. He is the rope that binds heaven and earth. He is the quickest path to forgiveness, the surest intercessor, the most enduring guide.

And when the world forgets, let us remind them: the Prophet ﷺ is not cut off. Not in life, not in death, not in this world, not in the next.

Belongs to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ

The best way to put a smile upon the face of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is to honor his family. To do what the Qur’an commands:

“Say, I do not ask you for any reward except love for my near relatives.” (Surah Ash-Shūrā 42:23)

Do not treat them as if they are nobody. It is true — they were driven out of their holy homes. It is true — their blood was spilled unjustly. It is true — Saudi Arabia itself has yet to honor them as they deserve. And it is true — this ummah has yet to have an honest discussion about this betrayal.

But that burden belongs to those who love the Prophet ﷺ, those who seek his intercession, those who wish for their rank to be lifted in the sight of Allah.

For know this: no one will ever defeat the Prophet. No one will ever defeat Allah. Allah is the best of planners.

Many today treat heaven as if it is silent. They treat the angels as if they are absent. They treat Allah and His Prophet as if they are not participating in real time, not shaping history as it unfolds. They are wrong. They are mistaken. They are deprived. They are destroyed.

And if you are a Muslim leader, know this:
Victory belongs to Allah, and victory belongs to His Prophet.

The Qur’an declares:
“Indeed, We will surely support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand.” (Surah Ghāfir 40:51)

I stand with Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
Despite my sins, I stand.
Despite my lowliness, I stand.
Despite my depression, I stand.
Despite my loneliness, I stand.

I stand with the truth. And the truth is this: the Prophet ﷺ is not cut off. His family is not cut off. His light is not cut off. His mercy is not cut off. And those who cling to him will never be cut off.
