STORIES OF THE BELOVED ﷺ

A STORY OF RESCUE

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

We read a story on the internet.

The person who wrote it said that it could be shared, but asked that their name and the place where the story was originally published not be revealed.

So we will honor that request.

We are sharing the story for one reason:

BECAUSE IT GIVES US HOPE.

Hope that sometimes we forget exists.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent as a mercy to the worlds.

And if you are a Muslim, sometimes you can forget what that mercy means.

Sometimes we think of the intercession of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ only in connection with the Day of Judgment.

But there are Muslims who testify to experiencing his help in this world—in dreams, in moments of unbearable darkness, when they feel crushed beneath mountains created by their own hands.

When nobody can hear them.

When nobody can see them.

When they cannot see a road forward.

And then, in their account, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ comes to their rescue.

What an extraordinary thing to witness.

I have witnessed something like this myself through people close to me—people whom I hurt, people whom I caused tremendous pain, people whose souls I crushed until they experienced a kind of pain they had never known before.

They were alone.

And they told of being rescued by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

That is why this particular story touched me.

Because sometimes we forget:

YOU ARE NOT ALONE ON THIS JOURNEY.

A person can claim to work for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and still become overwhelmed by desires, senses, mistakes, and weaknesses.

A person can lose the road.

A person can fall.

A person can create the very mountain that later crushes them.

And yet there are stories of people who, at precisely those moments, dream of the Beloved ﷺ and awaken transformed.

So when people choose to tell these stories, we should preserve them.

When they permit us to share them, we should share them.

When they ask for anonymity, we should protect them.

Because somewhere there may be another person sitting beneath their own mountain—

unable to see,

unable to understand,

unable to imagine that light could ever return.

And perhaps hearing someone else's story will remind them that hope still exists.

So this will be our purpose:

TO COLLECT AND SHARE STORIES OF THE BELOVED ﷺ.

Stories of dreams.

Stories of mercy.

Stories of repentance.

Stories of people who became lost and found their direction again.

Stories of hearts that were drowning in darkness and awakened remembering love.

We will not turn these stories into claims about another person's standing before Allah.

We will simply preserve their testimony:

This is what they experienced.
This is what they saw.
This is what happened to their heart afterward.

And we will allow those who understand these things to understand them.

Because perhaps somewhere, tonight, someone believes nobody can hear them.

Perhaps someone believes nobody can see them.

Perhaps someone has been crushed beneath a mountain built by their own hands.

And perhaps they have forgotten something precious:

Allah sent Muhammad ﷺ as a mercy to the worlds.

So let us tell the stories of the Beloved ﷺ.

Let us tell the stories that people have permitted us to tell.

Let us preserve their dignity.

Let us protect their names.

And above all—

LET US PRESERVE THE HOPE.

اللهم صل وسلم وبارك على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم

O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon our master Muhammad, upon his family and his companions.

NOW I UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO LOVE THE BELOVED PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

I was visited by the Beloved ﷺ last night.

My heart had plunged into darkness because I could not see what was ahead of me.

So I plunged into the darkness—

recklessly,
completely.

I darkened and destroyed what was precious.

I became covered by what my own hands had put forward.

I was depressed.
I was burdened by the depression and oppression of what my own hands had done.

I could not see the way.

I was desperate.

I was thirsty.

I was confused.

I was uneasy.

And then—

the Beloved ﷺ came and rescued me.

The blessed Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

He rescued me.

He cleaned me.

He illuminated me.

And when the rescue was complete, my heart was full of light.

My eyes were like diamonds.

My tranquility was deeper than the ocean.

There was a renewal within me that mirrored the stars hanging from the heavens.

And then I understood.

I WAS CREATED TO LOVE.

To love deeply.

To love quietly.

To love with my eyes,
with my tears.

To love and radiate love
with my smile,
with my energy.

To attract with love.

To eat with love.

To sleep with love.

Until I became nothing but love—

radiating endlessly,
beautifully,
and completely.

Now I understand what it means to love the Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

It is only when he rescues you—

rescues you—

when you have plunged yourself into darkness,

when you are burdened by the depression and oppression of what your own hands have done,

when you cannot see the way,

when you are desperate,

when you are thirsty,

when you are confused,

when you are uneasy—

and then he comes.

And he rescues you.

He cleans you.

He illuminates you.

Until you can swear that within you there has been a renewal that mirrors the stars hanging in the heavens.

Then you understand what it means to love him completely.

Because you felt like you were nothing but trash.

And now—

not even the sky and all its stars can compete with what you feel.

So if things become hard,

if you find yourself falling,

if you become covered by what your own hands have put forward,

remember the Beloved ﷺ.

If you really are among those whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ loves, you will be rescued—

spectacularly,
beautifully,
and completely.

You will be brought back into the orbit of love.

And you will spin with love.

Spin with light.

Until the evil is removed.

Until the darkness is removed.

Until there is nothing left but—

spinning with love and light.

And now I understand something else:

LOVING THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD ﷺ IS A DEPOSIT IN THE BANK ACCOUNT OF LOVE.

And there may come a moment when that deposit is cashed for you—

when you are surrounded by

complete darkness,
complete silence,
and complete pain.

When you cannot see ahead of you.

When you cannot find your way.

When your own hands have helped create the darkness in which you are standing.

And suddenly—

the Beloved ﷺ.

The rescue.

The cleansing.

The illumination.

The tranquility.

The light.

And now there is only one question left inside me:

How long can I hold on to all of this before it is gone?

Because now I want to be rescued all the time.

I want to smile endlessly.

I want my heart to remain illuminated.

I want to remain inside this orbit of love.

And I want to continuously send my ṣalām and ṣalawāt upon the Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Because now I understand.

I WAS CREATED TO LOVE.

And when darkness made me forget—

the Beloved ﷺ reminded me.

IN CONCLUSION — THIS IS ABOUT THE BELOVED ﷺ I share personal story from myself that has to do with a friend.

There is a personal story I need to tell.

There was someone very close to me.

For a long time, I had been babysitting this person's ego. I had been making excuses, trying to understand, trying to accommodate, trying to carry things carefully.

And eventually, I reached a point where I said:

Enough is enough.

I found this person with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.

And I crushed them.

Not physically.

I crushed them by refusing to agree with them.

By refusing to support what I could no longer support.

By putting all the problems in front of them at once.

I stopped protecting them from everything I believed they needed to confront.

And this person's heart was crushed.

That is something I take responsibility for.

We went to sleep.

And the next morning, this person came to me and told me something extraordinary.

They had been rescued.

They had been supported.

In the moment when they believed they had nowhere left to turn, they told me about the Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ coming to their rescue.

And I looked at this person and asked:

“Was it worth it to be crushed—or was it not?”

There was no answer.

There were only tears mixed with a smile.

Tears mixed with a smile.

There had been too much pain for this person to simply say:

Yes, it was worth being crushed.

The pain had been real.

But they could not hide the smile either.

Because somehow, through everything that had happened, the ceiling they had lived beneath had been shattered—and beyond that ceiling they had experienced something extraordinary.

Rescue.

I am not telling anyone to do what I did.

In fact, I ask Allah to forgive me for doing it.

Be very careful with people's hearts.

You may have good intentions.

You may believe you have been patient.

You may have spent years making excuses for someone.

And yes, there may come a moment when you believe enough is enough.

But check your intention.

Then check it again.

Because you can break a human heart believing that you are teaching someone a lesson.

And you will be responsible for the heart you broke.

I was blessed with the opportunity to apologize.

And from that day forward, I became careful.

I never repeated what I did, and I never will, in shāʾ Allāh.

So I am not the hero of this story.

If anything, when I remember what I did, I am ashamed of myself.

And perhaps that is important to say publicly.

Because sometimes the people we assume are disconnected, forgotten, or spiritually distant may possess connections we know absolutely nothing about.

So be careful.

You do not know whom Allah loves.

You do not know whose tears are precious.

You do not know whose heart carries a secret.

You do not know what happens between another human being and Allah when the doors close, the lights disappear, and everyone else goes to sleep.

And that brings me back to what this story is actually about.

THE BELOVED ﷺ

Because while I was part of someone's pain, I was not their rescue.

Their account of rescue belonged to them.

And they told me who they saw.

The Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

That changed something in me.

It taught me never to underestimate what love for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ may mean in someone's darkest hour.

You may not know how his intercession will extend to you.

You may not know how mercy will reach you.

You may not know how intimate that experience may feel.

You may go to sleep believing nobody understands you—

and awaken with tears mixed with a smile.

So perform acts of love.

Send peace and blessings upon the best of creation ﷺ.

Send ṣalawāt when you are strong.

Send ṣalawāt when you are weak.

Send ṣalawāt when you can see the road.

And send ṣalawāt when the road has completely disappeared.

Make deposits in the bank account of love.

You do not know when you will need them.

And when people entrust us with stories of dreams, rescue, repentance, and renewal, and permit those stories to be shared, let us preserve them.

Let us protect their identities.

Let us protect their dignity.

And let us preserve the hope contained within their testimony.

Because someone else may be sitting alone tonight believing there is nowhere left to turn.

Perhaps that person needs to hear:

Do not surrender to despair.

The night is not forever.

The tide returns.

The sun rises.

And Allah's mercy is greater than the mountain beneath which you believe you have been buried.

So tell us:

What stories of the Beloved ﷺ have you heard?

What stories of rescue have reached you?

What stories have you been given permission to preserve?

Let us collect them.

Let us honor them.

Let us learn from them.

And let us send our peace and blessings continuously upon the Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his blessed family.

اللهم صل وسلم وبارك على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم

May Allah forgive the hearts we have broken.

May He forgive those who have broken ours.

May He teach us to handle one another with mercy.

And may He grant us the intercession of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, in this world and in the Hereafter.

آمين يا رب العالمين.

In shāʾ Allāh.
