Born in 209 AH (824 CE) in the town of Bugh, near Tirmidh (modern-day Uzbekistan), Imam al-Tirmidhi was destined for greatness. Despite his humble origins, he sought out the greatest scholars of his time, traveling through the lands of Khorasan, Iraq, Hijaz, and beyond, in pursuit of hadith. His teachers included the giants of the field:

Imam Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari

Imam Muslim ibn Hajjaj al-Naysaburi

Imam Abu Dawood al-Sijistani
