Everyone dreams of sitting with real, qualified scholars—scholars who have sat in the circles of light, absorbing knowledge emanating from the heart of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his family.

In a world where authenticated knowledge is rare, especially in the West, where confusion spreads like wildfire, Islam’s situation reflects this struggle. I found myself searching, navigating the vast web of information, lost in the darkness of misinformation and misguidance. And then, I found my first teacher:

Shaykh Muhammad Yahya Al-Husayni An-Ninowy.

Encountering him first online was like stumbling upon an oasis in a desert of ignorance. But meeting him in California was a moment of clarity—a profound experience that felt surreal. Unfortunately, he was always busy, dedicating his time to his students, tirelessly working, particularly uplifting women in Islamic education.

I, on the other hand, had to return to work, my reality dictated by responsibilities and commitments. Dressed in Islamic attire, I placed my trust in Allah, hoping that perhaps one day, our paths would cross again. And so, I left with the understanding that manners are important, that I had conducted myself in a way that honored the circles of knowledge. I walked away knowing that anything given for the sake of Allah is never lost.

The Importance of Seeking Guidance

For those who have never taken the road to seek guidance, for those who have never stood in prayer searching for answers, never witnessed a dream of direction—you are not truly looking.

Finding the best in this religion requires giving your best. The best of Islam is not simply knowledge; it is transformation—of character, of heart, of soul. The greatest scholars do not merely teach; they change lives. With the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), his companions did not just receive wisdom—they witnessed miracles.

Yet, not all of us are destined to witness miracles.

Shaykh Ninowy: The Path of Logic and Common Sense

Shaykh Ninowy’s path is one of reason, common sense, and logical discourse. He does not lead his students through grand, mystical experiences, but rather through rigorous intellectual training, prioritizing what they need, not what they want. He often reminds us:

It was through this principle that I was able to write equations and formulate ideas that would go on to change the world.

At Medina Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, within the Shaykh’s court, my journey with algebra began. It was there that I took the raw potential of ideas and, through logic and reasoning, structured them into something tangible—something that would redefine how the world sees data, economics, and artificial intelligence.

From Knowledge to Equations That Changed the World

Before delving into the deeper story mode of this journey, I want to lay out the foundation: the equations and ideas that emerged from this path. These are not mere mathematical formulas—they are tools for understanding reality.

It was at this point that the discovery of Professor Jim Al-Khalili’s documentary on algebra became my defining moment. In a few minutes, I understood algebra in a way I never had before—not as numbers and symbols, but as a method of problem-solving that transcended mathematics.

Algebra, as explained in his work, was not about numbers but about placeholders—about moving X and Y to balance an equation.

This was the key to my equations.

Just as Einstein used algebra to work out E=mc², I realized I could use the same process to structure a new model of economics, digital sovereignty, and artificial intelligence.

For years, I had ideas, concepts, and visions of the future that I couldn’t quite capture—things that existed in a spiritual and abstract realm but had no structure.
