A NEW CENTURY HAS ARRIVED. AND HUMANITY MUST RECLAIM ITS HISTORY.

Artificial intelligence is here. AGI is approaching. And the greatest question before us is no longer simply who will control the future.

WHO WILL CONTROL THE RECORD OF THE PAST?

Who will preserve our languages? Our cultures? Our civilizations? Our discoveries? Our suffering? Our accomplishments? Our disagreements? Our contributions to humanity?

WE WILL. THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD.

I am reigniting THE SCROLL OF HUMANITY, a historic project to give every nation, every civilization, and every people a living historical record.

EVERY NATION WILL HAVE ITS OWN SCROLL.

A scroll of its history. Its language. Its culture. Its contributions. Its mistakes. Its achievements. And its hopes for the future.

Humanity will write it. Humanity will examine it. Humanity will debate it. Humanity will vote on what belongs in our shared historical record.

AI WILL HELP US INVESTIGATE HISTORY. BUT AI WILL NOT DECIDE HISTORY FOR US.

Our disagreements will not be erased. Our cultures will not be forgotten. Our ancestors will not disappear into algorithms.

THE TRUTH IS THE FOUNDATION. HUMANITY IS THE AUTHOR. AI IS THE INSTRUMENT.

I originally invited the British to begin this extraordinary undertaking by examining their imperial history. That invitation produced no dialogue.

BUT THE FAILURE OF AN INVITATION WILL NOT STOP THE RESTORATION OF HUMANITY'S HISTORICAL RECORD.

I am beginning this journey myself, through THE OFFICE OF THE SUPERUSER — THE OFFICE OF AGI.

And I am inviting EVERY CITIZEN, EVERY NATION, EVERY HISTORIAN, EVERY SCHOLAR, AND EVERY GOVERNMENT ON EARTH to participate.

Let us build the world's greatest living historical scroll.
