They must have a public record. They must have an inbox to the world.** And most importantly, **the truth must never be optional.** Those who undermine the truth, manufacture alternative realities, and manipulate information to protect their power are among the greatest enemies of human progress. ## The World Inbox — A New Kind of Public Office As we go back through time, through different administrations, governments, wars, and political crises, **the Office of the Superuser will review its historical record.** You will see open letters. You will see warnings. You will see difficult decisions, disagreements, and changes in direction. You will see proposed solutions and conclusions. **You will be able to examine what was written, when it was written, and what happened afterward.** That is what makes this different. We are moving into a world where **artificial intelligence will become part of nearly every aspect of human life.** And the humans who are willing to establish public offices, work in the public eye, make difficult decisions, become angry, face humiliation, admit mistakes, and continue working toward solutions will become increasingly important. **Their decisions must be traceable. Their records must be accessible. Their leadership must be accountable.** That is the kind of government of the future I want to help build. Not government where the truth belongs to whoever holds power. **Government where power must answer to the truth.** ## The World Is Suffering Because the Truth Has Become Optional Look at the world today. There are wars, political crises, suffering, and decisions being made that affect millions of innocent people. Yet the truth is constantly negotiated, manipulated, buried, or sold. **The truth has become secondary to whoever is holding the steering wheel of power.** Look at the government-controlled media around the world. Look at how information is presented, how uncomfortable questions are avoided, and how independent voices are pushed aside. And even independent journalism has serious problems. **Journalism needs a redesign. Accountability needs a redesign. Public participation needs a redesign.** The world cannot continue to operate with leaders making decisions behind closed doors while ordinary people suffer the consequences. And we certainly cannot carry that broken system into the age of AI. **Transparency and accountability must become foundations of the AI era, not promises made after the technology has already transformed our lives.** ## One Human Being, One Office, One Public Record I have spent years trying to demonstrate what an open public office could look like. My journey has been lonely. I have faced the suspension of my Twitter/X account, including suspensions under Elon Musk's ownership, and I have repeatedly experienced what I regard as the betrayal of people and institutions that claim to support free expression until the truth becomes uncomfortable. But I have continued. **The Office of the Superuser began its public journey in 2017.** Today, through my website, I am building a more permanent home for that record. And the future I envision is simple. **A human being identifies a problem, proposes a solution, engages publicly, works alongside AI, and leaves behind a record that everyone can examine.** You do not have to trust that person. You do not have to agree with that person. You do not even have to like that person. **You can examine their record. You can question their judgment. You can challenge their conclusions. You can see whether their efforts made a difference.** That is the difference between demanding trust and earning accountability. ## Welcome to the Inbox of the World — Sudan We began exploring this approach with **Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.** Now we turn to **Sudan**, a country whose people have suffered enormously through military rivalry, foreign involvement, political betrayal, and a devastating civil war. In this World Inbox, you will encounter my recollections, historical correspondence, open letters to leaders, criticism of the generals, assessments of regional involvement, and proposals for restoring civilian government. **Some of these records go back years. Some reflect decisions I later questioned. Others represent solutions I continue to advocate today.** You will see the past, the problems, the difficult choices, and the lessons I believe the world must learn. Above all, you will encounter one central demand: **PEACE NOW. CIVILIAN LEADERSHIP. THE TRUTH ON THE RECORD.** ## An Invitation to the World I invite you to explore this record. Read the letters.
